Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. Doha, Qatar is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and sourcing activities, ensuring timely availability of materials and services for the Measurement Systems & Solutions business.

You will manage purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, monitor deliveries, and drive cost optimization across the supply chain. The role emphasizes collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Service Management, along with maintaining records in ERP systems and adhering to procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders for Measurement Systems components.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and support supplier selection activities.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Resolve purchase order, invoice, and supplier-related issues.
• Support inventory management and material availability requirements.
• Execute day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Support localization, sourcing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop sourcing strategies for key commodities, materials, and services.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Service Management teams on procurement decisions.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support efforts to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business continuity.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ERP system transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
