Job summary

International Organization for Migration in Doha invites applications for a Senior Procurement & Logistics Associate to provide procurement and logistics support within the CAS office under the Head of Resources Management Unit.

The role encompasses procurement actions, asset and inventory control, supplier evaluation, and reporting to HQs and MAC, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with IOM rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with four years of experience; or high school with six years of experience.
• Experience in procurement and logistics at international level.
• Proficiency in English with working knowledge of another UN language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall procurement actions: procurement, assets control, warehousing, transport and contracts.
• Coordinate procurement activities and provide guidance on IOM policies and procedures.
• Submit asset and procurement reports to HQs and MAC and prepare progress and briefing materials.
• Identify service providers, evaluate vendors and maintain supplier databases.
• Solicit bids, oversee bidding, prepare purchase orders and ensure authorizations.
• Track PO statuses and ensure delivery per PO specifications.
• Maintain asset inventory and oversee warehouse inventories and year-end closure.
• Support maintenance contracts and improve internal controls for assets.
• Provide updates on market opportunities and vendor availability to assist decision-making.
• Train and supervise procurement staff as needed.
