Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a senior Reservoir Engineer to lead offshore reservoir studies for the Idd El-Shargi field, optimizing development plans and integrating reservoir and well performance data. You will conduct decline curves, pressure transient analysis, and material balance while preparing surveillance programs.

The role requires advancing dynamic models, reserves reviews, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to guide field development and asset value optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of reservoir engineering experience.
• Expertise in horizontal wells PTA interpretation (deconvolution, multi-layer reservoirs, double porosity).
• Proven ability to construct numerical reservoir simulations (black-oil and compositional).
• Strong skills in transient well test design and interpretation, MBAL, PVT/SCAL data analysis.
• Fluency in English and experience working in multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret PTA for horizontal wells in multi‑layer reservoirs to optimize field development.
• Update and maintain dynamic reservoir models for field development planning.
• Perform annual reserves reviews and long-term production forecasts.
• Contribute to short-, medium-, and long-term development plans and asset optimization.
• Identify reservoir targets for new drilling in heterogeneous systems and determine well contacts.
• Prepare post-drill reservoir reports integrating geological and petrophysical data.
