Job summary

QatarEnergy in Doha, QA, seeks an experienced SR. TAX ANALYST (TRADING) to provide tax planning and advisory support for Marketing & Trading activities.

You will analyse complex tax matters, coordinate with business stakeholders and external advisers, and help protect the company\'s tax interests. The role requires at least 10 years of tax experience, strong knowledge of cross-border transactions, and professional qualifications.

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Provide tax planning and advisory support for assigned Marketing \& Trading businesses, assets and activities. Analyse tax matters, provide practical / timely recommendations and coordinate with business stakeholders and external advisers to support informed decision-making, manage tax risks and protect QatarEnergy's interests.

Required Experience and Skills:

Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate and international tax principles. Knowledge of cross-border transactions, tax treaties, permanent establishment, and withholding tax matters. General understanding of indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax authority processes. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Commercial awareness and sound professional judgment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experience in industry, professional services, or tax administration. Proven experience supporting international tax matters, commercial transactions, and cross-border operations. Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA or equivalent) preferred.
