Job summary

Talabat is seeking a Demand Planner to grow Talabat Mart, the region’s first cloud store concept delivering groceries in 30 minutes at hypermarket prices. Based in Doha, you will own inventory planning across stores, monitor stock movement, and set replenishment parameters.

You will forecast demand, coordinate with Category Managers and suppliers, ensure accurate records, and liaise with senior leadership to align forecasts with business goals. Fluent English and Arabic are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning.
• Strong forecasting and replenishment knowledge in FMCG.
• Experience with warehouse management or 3PL relations.
• Data-driven, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct inventory at stores (no OOS or OVS) by analyzing inventory status and updating ordering parameters.
• Daily monitoring of stock movement and reporting of inventory adjustments.
• Maintain replenishment model parameters (lead times, reorder point, EOQ, supplier MOQs).
• Prepare demand forecasts and initiate ordering to stores, tracking receipt.
• Coordinate with Category Managers to manage inventory.
• Ensure timely and accurate analysis and reporting of inventory and purchase forecasts.
• Dispatch orders to suppliers and ensure tracking.
• Liaise with suppliers to improve collaborative forecasting and replenishment.
• Maintain accurate records of in-stock and inventory position.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Demand Planner to join the team and focus on growing our own Grocery Store “Talabat Mart”, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. Launched in Kuwait and UAE, the service is expanding fast to more countries.

WHAT’S ON YOUR PLATE?

• Responsible for ensuring we have the correct inventory at the stores (No OOS or OVS) by analyzing the current inventory status and updating the ordering parameters.
• Daily monitoring of stock movement, running report of daily inventory adjustment.
• Maintaining parameters of the replenishment model and making sure it is accurately input into the system, including lead times, reorder point, economic order quantities, suppliers minimum order quantities, etc.
• Preparing demand forecasts and initiating ordering to the stores and tracking receipt of such orders
• Managing the relevant inventory in coordination with the Category Managers
• Ensuring timely and accurate analysis and reporting of inventory and purchase forecast
• Dispatching orders to suppliers and ensuring proper tracking
• Liaising with suppliers for improving collaborative forecasting planning and replenishment
• Ensuring maintenance of appropriate and accurate records of in-stock and inventory position are kept

WHAT DID WE ORDER?

• You have at least 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning
• Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of demand planning, as well as the ability to work on demand forecasting from A-Z
• Experience in FMCG in demand planning and replenishment is a must
• Experience in Warehouse management or 3PL partner relation is a must
• Data and detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
• You are very detail-oriented, structured and know how to prioritize - you consider yourself as someone who delivers solutions and not bottlenecks to be solved.
• You are able to interact with senior-level executives and can manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
• You are someone energized by the unknown and look forward to learning each day on the job.
• You have excellent analytical and communication skills, and always like to be hands-on with several tools.
