Job summary

QatarEnergy in Ras Laffan is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to manage contract execution for preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and utility systems across assigned assets. You will supervise teams, enforce standards and ensure high availability of WWTP, piping and infrastructure.

The role requires 5–7 years in oil/gas maintenance, knowledge of SAP maintenance, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of total mechanical trade experience, preferably in Facilities & Utilities in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with maintenance schedules and budgeting support.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in MS Office and maintenance software (SAP Maintenance).
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to supervise workers and establish good working relationships.
• Good oral and written English; Arabic language knowledge is an advantage.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Manage, supervise, and control contract execution for preventive and corrective maintenances activities of mechanical and utility system / equipment for assigned assets and facilities to ensure high availability and reliability of the utility systems, piping, WWTP and infrastructures at RLC. Enforce implementation of QATARENERGY-Corporate Design and Construction regulations, policies and standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 5-7 years of total mechanical trade experience preferably in Facilities & Utilities in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical process industries.
• Working knowledge of discipline activities (methods, materials, practices and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of associated facilities/equipment).
• Experience in execution of maintenance schedules, and support for budgeting and estimating.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Good PC knowledge of MS Office, maintenance software and SAP Maintenance skills
• Good supervisory, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work.
• Ability to assign and supervise workers.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, employees and contractor staff.
• Good oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.

Educational Qualifications

Mechanical engineering diploma or equivalent from an internationally recognized university or institution.
