Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a senior electrical engineer to provide specialist technical support for major facilities, establish standards and guidelines, and troubleshoot complex problems across divisions.

Qualifications

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Provides specialist technical support to Department's Divisions for major facilities, e.g. Common Cooling Water System, Desalinated and Potable water networks, Waste Management facilities, Treated water distribution and other facilities and utilities. This includes establishment of Engineering Standards and Technical Guidelines for the Department's facilities and RLC projects incorporating the latest Process, Engineering, Safety and Environmental Technology; troubleshooting technical problems by conducting research involving fundamental engineering principles.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 12-15 years varied experience is required in the relevant Engineering discipline. This should include conceptual and facilities design, project design and management, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of facilities in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry. This experience should include a minimum of 5 to 8 years in a senior supervisory position on major projects.


• Strong communication, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills.


• Computer literate with proven skills in Technical and Simulation packages.


• Strong leadership and motivational skills. Capable of working under tight deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

B.E or B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering Discipline with Chartered membership of the relevant institute or organization.
