Job summary

Confidential in Doha is seeking a Sr. Data Architect Specialist to define and lead the enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is trusted, governed, integrated, and readily available to support analytics, business intelligence, and AI initiatives.

You will design target data architectures across lakehouse and data warehouse environments, establish data standards, and align with SAP, OT historian systems, and cloud data sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or data engineering.
• Certifications: Azure Data Engineer or Microsoft Fabric.
• Preferred: TOGAF or CDMP.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, data integration, and architecture principles.
• Hands-on with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Purview, SQL.
• Experience integrating SAP data within enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas data environments including PI System/OT historian and ERP data.
• Strong analytical, architectural design, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define the target enterprise data architecture, including data platforms, data models, and integration patterns across lakehouse and data warehouse environments.
• Establish enterprise data standards, master data management practices, metadata management frameworks, and data quality rules.
• Align data architecture with SAP, Operational Technology (OT) historian systems, and cloud-based data sources.
• Collaborate with data governance and cybersecurity teams to establish data classification, retention, and access control requirements.
• Review data architecture and solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to data engineering teams.
• Support the development of scalable, secure, and reliable data platforms for analytics and AI.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or data engineering.
• Certifications: Azure Data Engineer or Microsoft Fabric certification.
• Preferred: TOGAF or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data modelling, data integration, and data architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Microsoft Purview, and SQL.
• Experience integrating and managing SAP data within enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas (O&G) data environments, including PI System / OT historian and ERP data, is preferred.
