Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking an Environmental Site Specialist to lead compliance with our Environmental Management Plan on major projects in Qatar. You will perform daily inspections, oversee waste management, monitor controls for dust, water, and spills, and coordinate sampling with approved providers.

Strong reporting and communication skills are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant field experience on construction or oil and gas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Management/Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site environmental experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or oil and gas projects.
• Working knowledge of environmental monitoring, waste management, spill prevention, and pollution controls.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001; Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
• Strong inspection, documentation, reporting, and workforce communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with the Environmental Management Plan.
• Monitor waste segregation, storage, handling, transportation, and disposal records.
• Inspect site controls for dust, noise, wastewater, drainage, spills, and chemical storage.
• Coordinate environmental sampling and monitoring with approved service providers.
• Identify environmental nonconformities, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
• Assist with environmental incident reporting, investigations, and emergency response exercises.
