Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking a Pastry Cook to oversee the pastry shop operations aboard the ship. Responsibilities include ensuring daily production, quality, and presentation of desserts for daily menus, and assisting in forecasts to minimize waste and costs.

You will ensure strict adherence to USPH rules, prepare the pastry galley for inspections, and manage requisition and transport of items from stores. Strong English skills and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pastry cook experience in upscale settings
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment use
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the Pastry Shop and production daily
• Oversee production, quality and presentation of pastry and desserts for menus
• Assist in forecasting and recording leftovers to control waste and costs
• Set up pastry display at buffets
• Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations
• Ensure pastry galley is ready for USPH inspections
• Coordinate requisition and transport of items from main stores
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards
• Attend meetings, training and required activities
