Job summary

Employment is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and performance of its IT infrastructure in Doha, Qatar. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, MCSE, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Server+/Security+.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise-level server and virtualization environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012–2022) administration.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Knowledge of backup solutions with Symantec NetBackup and Veeam.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and patch management.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to train staff across IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts.
• Manage system access rights, credentials, permissions, and storage allocations.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and related infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts to streamline tasks.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, patch management, and system hardening.
• Support cloud and hybrid environments (Azure AD, Microsoft 365).
• Coordinate hardware upgrades and liaise with vendors and IT teams.
• Maintain documentation and technical specifications for administration.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end users on new tech.
