Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, MCSE, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Server+/Security+.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise-level server and virtualization environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012–2022) administration.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Knowledge of backup solutions with Symantec NetBackup and Veeam.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and patch management.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to train staff across IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts.

• Coordinate hardware upgrades and replacements and liaise with vendors and IT support teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and technical specifications for system administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Professional certifications preferred, such as: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Comp TIA Server+ / Security+.
• Minimum10 years of proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise-level server and virtualization environments.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain secure, resilient IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File/Print Services.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Knowledge of backup solution and must have Hands‑on experience with Symantec (Netbackup) and Veeam Backup solutions Familiarity with storage systems (SAN/NAS/i SCSI).
• Strong skills in Power Shell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and patch management.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Familiarity with security practices, including system hardening, endpoint protection, and auditing.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
