Job summary

North Oil Company Qatar is seeking an experienced professional to oversee well integrity across offshore assets in Doha. The role focuses on adherence to policies, standards, and industry best practices spanning the entire well life cycle.

The incumbent will monitor integrity, analyze derogations, manage software models, and coordinate with Drilling, Subsurface, and Field Operations to ensure safe and compliant operations. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in oilfield with offshore exposure (minimum 2 years).
• Knowledge of well integrity, management systems, and API standards.
• Familiarity with well failure models and corrosion management.
• Fluent English mandatory with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze the integrity of all wells and propose improvements.
• Ensure any well-related derogations are analyzed before CMS submission.
• Maintain and validate the Well Integrity Model and associated software.
• Lead assessments and reporting to leadership on well integrity metrics.

Extent by which the job is constrained by policy / procedure / instruction:

• All tasks to adhere and comply with NOC HSE policies, procedures and CMS. In particular, the well integrity is constrained by well barriers and API strict standards. More generally, the position requires that any health, safety and environmental risks are assessed, and necessary measures taken to mitigate safety and health risks according to the ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practical) principle.

• Wells scope data: Overview 550+ wells spread over 21 wellhead platforms. A mix of gas lifted oil producer wells, water injection wells, smart completions, water alternating gas injection wells, gas injection wells and water disposal wells
• Outside Stakeholders: Interfacing with various departments including Drilling, Subsurface, Field Operations, Offshore OIM’s, OTL’s, Production Supervisor’s, HSE and Well Performance.
• Human resources data : Subordinates reporting directly to you: nil.

Activities

Main responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze and propose solutions regarding the integrity of all ALS wells.
• Responsible for ensuring that any well related derogations are thoroughly analyzed prior to submission for approval in the CMS system.
• Responsible for ensuring that NOC has in place a fit for purpose well integrity model (and associated) software for monitoring and keeping track of Well Integrity issues.

Tasks involved

• Ensure all field operations are carried out in accordance to NOC Well Integrity Management System.
• WISS focal point – Maintain WISS system as per company’s Well Failure Model and Well Integrity Management System.
• Well Integrity Daily Surveillance – Ensure all wells operate within well operating envelope and ensure monitoring of well casing pressure/trends. Maintain overview of existing calipers and caliper database.
• Planning and follow up with both Intervention team and Offshore Field Ops in regard to well integrity related activities and investigations such as surveillance activities, tubing investigations, pressure bleed off etc.
• Analyze well integrity related problems and recommends further investigative and/or corrective measures.
• Ensure onsite technical assistance is available to Field Ops and Well Intervention team for technical integrity problems.
• Lead Operational Risk Assessments and ensure DGS forms are completed for all well related failures.
• Maintain well integrity dashboards and periodic reporting to local leadership team and QE.
• Monitor for any failures reported by Offshore via SAP notification.
• Provide any well related safety critical element (SCE) reliability numbers.
• Perform well integrity related calculations; MAASP, tubing leak rate, remaining burst/collapse etc.

Context and Environment

The job is to be mainly performed at the NOC offices in Doha; Occasional site visits on Al Shaheen field or activities at logistics base or service providers bases.

Experience

• 10 yrs in Oilfield – Offshore exposure 2 yrs minimum.
• Knowledge of all aspects of well integrity, including management systems, well integrity related softwares, well failure model, API relevant rules, annulus management, corrosion management/control,tubing + casing integrity and leak detection surveys and etc.
• Basic knowledge in well integrity industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to evaluate well integrity issue, risk assessment, risk ranking and mitigation planning.
• Knowledge of wells (drilling, completion, Csg and cementing), well Intervention, wellhead maintenance,
  drilling and completions and workovers equipment.
• Knowledge of production operations, and reservoir engineering.
• Fluent English compulsory
