Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead and supervise electrical maintenance activities across company facilities and remote platforms in Qatar. The role focuses on safe work practices, adherence to safety systems, and continuous improvement in maintenance processes.

Ideal candidates hold an HND in engineering and have around 8 years of diversified oil and gas experience, with strong English communication and computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, CMMS).

Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma in engineering (mechanical, instrumentation or electrical).
• 8 years of diversified experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industries.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; computer literate with MS Office, SAP and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical maintenance jobs and ensure safe practices in line with company procedures.
• Oversee maintenance activities at main complex and remote platforms with adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Support compliance with QLMS processes and minimize operational risk and SHE incidents.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health, safety and security procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Lead toolbox talks and report hazards, unsafe conditions and near-misses.
• Troubleshoot and repair critical equipment during breakdowns and analyze field data for corrective actions.
• Maintain quality audits, fill checklists and record observations.
• Provide guidance to subordinates and technicians for complex problems.
• Coordinate with other stakeholders for seamless maintenance execution.
• Support FEED, hazard studies, risk assessments, and warranty punch items with PMT/EPC.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

• Conduct and provide overall supervision of all electrical maintenance jobs performed by the team in the assigned area within Company facilities
• Facilitate oversight and supervision towards the maintenance discipline activities performed by the section at the main complex and remote platforms utilizing company safe work practices and in compliance with applicable maintenance processes and procedures
• Maintain an understanding of the company QatarEnergy LNG Management System QLMS processes and participate and support its compliance including to contribute to minimizing operational risk and SHE incidents
• Ensure thorough compliance with Company s Environmental Health Safety and Security procedures permit to work procedure safe work practices LSR s as well as Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Conduct toolbox talk for maintenance crew and ensures safety measures are in place as stipulated in Job Safety Analysis JSA prior to starting the job and ensures that the safety hazards unsafe condition and near misses are reported as per reporting procedure
• Conduct troubleshooting and repair of critical equipment during breakdowns compiles the field data for further analysis and investigates common failures and make recommendations for corrective action
• Ensure periodic quality audits fill quality checklists record the observation
• Provide necessary field guidance to subordinates and technicians in solving complex problems

Key Job Accountabilities - II

• Review work notifications execution methodology work orders to ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance PPM full compliance and record accurate maintenance history in closeout reports by systematic update of SAP CMMS systems
• Ensure to achieve discipline specific KPIs thereby supporting to achieve the overall KPIs of the asset
• Review and recommend maintenance section budget input including spares and materials whilst implementing monitoring and control measures for section expenditure in line with department objectives and in alignment with all maintenance disciplines to achieve department KPIs
• Coordinate with other stakeholders to have a seamless execution of all maintenance activities
• Ensure all tools and test equipment is available for fieldwork team to execute the daily activities as per maintenance needs and priorities work as required
• Produce constructive input and feedback on field expansion issues to department focal point and participate in Front End Engineering Design FEED Hazard and Operability Study HAZOPs Risk Screening RS Formal Risk Assessment FRA field completion activities commissioning and warranty punch work with PMT and EPC contractor as directed by management
• Provide support to project department while implementing new projects and ensures proper handover completion as per company policy and procedure
• Support OES spare parts and CMMS teams by providing specialized inputs and contribute to delivering projects maintenance readiness deliverables to ensure safe and reliable start-up and life-cycle maintenance activities during projects

Higher National Diploma in engineering majoring in one of the core disciplines i e mechanical or instrument or electrical

Knowledge and or Experience 8 years of diversified experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry

Technical and Business Skills Proficient in written and spoken English Computer literate and possessing skills in MS Office SAP and CMMS system software Good adaptability to multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
