Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Work Inspector in Qatar to lead inspection of utility infrastructure projects within the GEC Supervision department. You will ensure work aligns with approved plans, specs, and health and safety standards.

You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, provide guidance to junior inspectors, and maintain meticulous records. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction inspection, focused on utility infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of utility infrastructure design, construction processes, and industry standards.
• Strong health and safety regulations knowledge and on-site implementation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, software, and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect utility infrastructure works for compliance with specs, contracts, and drawings.
• Monitor construction activities, conduct site visits, and maintain detailed progress records.
• Identify and report non-conformances; provide timely feedback to teams.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Review and approve contractor-submitted method statements, safety plans, and QC procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits to ensure compliance on-site.
• Provide technical guidance to junior inspectors and field teams.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Attend project meetings and represent QA; offer input on utility matters.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new inspection technologies.
