Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer - Transportation in Doha to plan, design and deliver transportation projects in Qatar. The role serves as the main client contact, coordinating across project phases and with government authorities to ensure quality and timely results.

You will develop integrated transport strategies, oversee design and supervision of roadworks, and drive sustainability through multimodal mobility planning while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in transport engineering; Middle East experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Transport Planning and Analysis: Develop integrated transport strategies for urban and regional projects; conduct traffic impact studies and corridor analyses; optimize traffic operations.
• Design and Supervision: Prepare detailed road and transport facility designs; oversee construction activities to meet standards; perform site inspections and QC.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with Ashghal, MoTC and contractors; coordinate approvals with multidisciplinary teams.
• Sustainability and Innovation: Implement multimodal mobility solutions; integrate land use projections into planning.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations; ensure timelines, budgets and quality.
