Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is seeking a Civil Engineer to support major infrastructure projects in Doha, Qatar. This role involves developing and reviewing engineering designs for roads, bridges, and utilities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and collaborating with diverse teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Qatar's technical regulations and construction codes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• English fluency; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review civil engineering designs for roads, buildings, bridges, and water systems.
• Conduct site investigations and analyze technical data to support design decisions.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and detailed cost estimates.
• Ensure full compliance with Qatar's engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Use advanced software tools for modeling, analysis, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, resources, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in client meetings and communicate project updates.
• Maintain awareness of emerging engineering technologies and best practices.
