Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a skilled Technician, Trucks and Buses to perform inspection, maintenance and repair on heavy commercial vehicles. You will diagnose faults, use workshop tools, and ensure safety and quality standards across our busy service department.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma or ITI in relevant fields, hands-on experience with diesel engines and vehicle systems, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with heavy commercial vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and general repairs on trucks and buses.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify technical issues accurately.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to confirm the quality of completed repairs.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical manuals, and workshop standards.
• Complete job cards and accurately record the work performed, parts used, and additional repairs required.
• Inform the workshop supervisor of any additional faults or safety concerns identified during inspection.
• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and the assigned work area in a safe and organized condition.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
• Support other workshop team members when required to ensure timely completion of work.
• Participate in technical training and continuously develop product and diagnostic knowledge.
