Job summary

Bank of Jordan in Doha, Qatar seeks a seasoned professional to lead syndicated finance initiatives. You will prepare credit papers, perform financial modelling, and coordinate with Credit Risk to ensure robust underwriting and timely approvals.

The role requires 5+ years in syndicated or structured finance, deep knowledge of LMA docs, and fluency in English and Arabic. A strong client-facing mindset and cross-department collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in syndicated finance, structured finance, project finance or corporate banking.
Demonstrated experience in origination, execution, underwriting and/or participation of syndicated loans.
Understanding of both primary and secondary syndicated loan markets.
Strong knowledge of LMA documentation, syndicated loan processes and closing mechanics.
Experience with DFIs, ECAs, export finance or regional/international banks is highly desirable.
Financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
Strong understanding of credit risk, covenant analysis and portfolio management.
Knowledge of ESG and sustainability-linked financing principles is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication presentation skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; familiarity with AI productivity tools and financial databases.
Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

Prepare transaction screening papers and credit reports for syndicated financings.
Support loan market activities including distribution strategy, pricing analysis and investor targeting.
Conduct financial statement analysis, modelling, sensitivity tests and cash flow forecasting.
Review transaction structures, security packages and repayment profiles.
Review commercial financing documentation and intercreditor documents.
Perform borrower analysis using internal systems and coordinate with Credit Risk.
Assess profitability using RAROC, ROE, and portfolio metrics.
Conduct annual reviews for deals and portfolio; monitor approvals across departments.
Coordinate internal approvals across Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, ESG, Finance and senior management.
Support due diligence across technical, legal, insurance, environmental and market aspects.
Monitor execution milestones from origination to close and post-closing follow-ups.
Monitor portfolio performance including covenant compliance and waivers.
Prepare management dashboards covering pipeline, portfolio, profitability and market intelligence.
