Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer – Structures to lead and oversee structural construction activities for a major project. The role requires technical leadership, site supervision, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, safety requirements and project schedules.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all structural construction activities on the project.
Ensure works are executed per approved drawings, specs, contract requirements and standards.
Provide technical direction to the supervision team.
Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, method statements and material submissions as needed.
Supervise foundations, reinforced concrete, columns, beams, slabs, retaining structures, steel and other elements.
Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, quality, and progress.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
Review inspections and ensure necessary tests are completed before approval.
Coordinate with contractor, consultants, client representatives and other stakeholders.
Resolve design and construction interfaces with architecture, civil, MEP and road disciplines.
Identify issues, discrepancies and delays and provide recommendations.
Monitor progress against construction programme and report risks.
