Job summary

Swan Global is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities for a major project in Qatar. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards while developing and executing comprehensive HSE programs.

Ideal candidates have extensive construction sector experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to drive safety culture across multidisciplinary teams. GCC/Qatar experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (BSc, BEng, BA, or equivalent preferred).
• Relevant Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the project.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations and international safety standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and safety programs.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA, and PTW systems.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor contractors for compliance with HSE requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
