Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Quality Engineer to uphold QA/QC standards on the GEC project in Qatar. You will implement QA/QC procedures, oversee inspections and audits, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure high-quality infrastructure outcomes.

The role requires a strong background in quality management, ISO/ASTM familiarity, and the ability to travel for site visits. MMUP registration is required, and you will mentor junior staff while staying current with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in infrastructure or civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and project activities.
• Familiarity with ISO/ ASTM quality standards is preferred.
• Certifications in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA) are an asset.
• Candidates must hold a valid MMUP registration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations for infrastructure and civil projects.
• Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures, including inspections, audits, and testing.
• Develop and maintain quality plans and procedures with project teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality control measures.
• Identify and address quality issues with recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality activities.
• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and specs to ensure quality.
• Train and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians.
