Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy seeks an experienced PV Technician to support operation and maintenance of large-scale solar plants in Qatar. You will perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on PV equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You should have a Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years in PV plant O&M, strong HV switching knowledge, and experience with PLC/HMI, CMMS/SAP, and MS Office in a multicultural, fast-paced

Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in operation and maintenance of solar plants (100 MWp+).
Strong knowledge of MV/HV systems, protection relays and switchgear.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on PV plant equipment.
Carry out inspection, testing, and maintenance of transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
Maintain and troubleshoot MV/LV motors, vacuum circuit breakers, and electrical distribution systems.
Conduct MV and HV cable jointing, termination, repair, and testing activities.
Support O&M activities for substations up to 33kV and related electrical systems.
Monitor and maintain UPS systems, thyristor rectifiers, and plant electrical utilities.
Perform switching and isolation activities in line with safety procedures.
Diagnose and rectify faults using PLC-based systems and HMI.
Support maintenance for HVAC and instrumentation systems.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and electrical safety standards.
Prepare maintenance reports and update records using CMMS/SAP.
