Senior Procurement Officer (Indirect Procurement)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer - Indirect Procurement to join our Procurement team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing indirect procurement activities across hotel operations, ensuring timely sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and contract compliance while maintaining the highest service standards expected within a hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate must possess strong hospitality procurement experience, preferably within luxury hotels, resorts, hospitality groups, or mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for indirect categories across hotel operations.
- Manage RFQs, RFPs, tendering processes, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure timely procurement of operational requirements while maintaining quality and budget controls.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop procurement strategies for assigned categories.
Categories Management
Handle indirect procurement requirements including:
- Laundry services and consumables
- Facilities Management services
- Security services
- Pest control contracts
- Uniforms and linen
- Office supplies and stationery
- Marketing and promotional materials
- IT hardware and software procurement
- Telecommunication services
- Transportation and logistics services
- Staff accommodation requirements
- Training and consultancy services
- Hotel operating supplies and equipment (OS&E)
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and market assessments.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and SLA compliance.
- Identify and onboard new qualified suppliers.
- Ensure vendor compliance with company procurement policies.
Contract Management
- Negotiate commercial terms and agreements.
- Monitor contract renewals and supplier obligations.
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete and auditable.
- Support legal and finance teams during contract reviews.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare procurement reports and spend analyses.
- Maintain procurement records and supplier databases.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and audit requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of procurement experience.
- Minimum 3 years within the hospitality industry.
- Experience in luxury hotels, hospitality groups, resorts, or mixed-use developments.
- GCC experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and contract management.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Negotiation and vendor management expertise.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
