Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG is seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead deployment of process safety, loss prevention, and risk management across assets and brownfield projects.

The role focuses on leading HAZOP/HAZID/QRA studies, barrier management, MOC reviews, and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with global standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in engineering and brings 8+ years in oil and gas process safety, with hands-on experience in risk modelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical or safety preferred).
• 8 years’ experience in oil and gas process safety, loss prevention and risk management.
• Experience leading hazard identifications and risk assessment studies.
• Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and emergency preparedness.

Responsibilities

• Execute deployment of process safety and risk objectives across assets.
• Review engineering documents to ensure standards compliance.
• Facilitate hazard identifications and risk assessments.
• Support implementation of loss prevention procedures.
• Conduct major safety studies (QRA, HAZOP, HAZID) and coordinate with external consultants.
• Coordinate Safety Case and Barrier Management for assets.
• Review MOC requests to maintain plant safety and integrity.
• Monitor process safety performance indicators and drive corrective actions.
• Support MOR Process and Process Safety across QatarEnergy LNG assets.
• Represent Process Safety & Risk Engineering in safety studies (HAZOP/HAZID/3D model/QRA).
