Job summary

Atkins Réalis is seeking a senior Project Controls Specialist in Doha to implement planning, scheduling and reporting for a large programme. You will lead a project controls team, develop KPI’s and Earned Value, and advise on procurement strategies in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

The role requires extensive experience in major infrastructure projects, Chartered status, and exceptional English communication. A competitive, tax-free salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent.
Chartered status or professional license from recognised bodies.
20+ years postgraduate experience in major infrastructure projects; 10 years in similar role; 5 years in Qatar/Gulf region.
Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Investigate and administer project control systems used for PWA projects and services.
Propose techniques and standards to maximise efficiency of project control activities.
Develop KPI's and Earned Value System; oversee implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Lead project control team across Contractors, Consultants and PWA departments; review submittals.
Advise on project control submittals, slippages, recovery schedules and progress reviews.
Promote optimal use of human and technological resources; train staff on project controls software and processes.
Review contractor’s claims and provide expert opinion when required.
