Job summary

Nasser Al Jaber Group in Al Wakrah, Qatar, is seeking a Planning Engineer (senior level) to develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and to monitor progress against baselines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of planning experience, preferably in large infrastructure projects. GCC experience is preferred and immediate joining is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in large-scale infra, water, or sewage projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress against baselines and identify delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to align with milestones.
• Analyze schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Support resource planning, look-ahead schedules, and progress forecasting.
• Assist in preparing project reports, progress presentations, and contractual schedule submissions.
