Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Planner to join our data centre team in Qatar. Lead strategic commissions, integrate multiple packages into master schedules, and provide reliable scheduling insights for key decisions. Extensive experience with Primavera and MS Project is required.

This role focuses on planning strategy, risk mitigation, and coordinating cross-disciplinary inputs to ensure on-time delivery on high-profile hyperscale data centre projects in Doha and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Experience on hyperscale data centre projects from inception to completion.
• Expert use of MS Project and Primavera (P3/P5/P6) for complex schedules.
• Strong capability in resource loading, cost/schedule integration, and baseline management.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduling strategy plans and procedures reflecting company and contractor roles.
• Review and monitor detailed Primavera schedules with WBS, relationships, constraints, and resources.
• Conduct schedule analysis, forecasts, and performance tracking (SPI, CPI, Earned Value).
• Prepare regular progress reports for management and client.
• Develop mitigation plans and respond to EOT claims with defense reports.
• Coordinate inputs from vendors, engineering, and construction into the master schedule.

Responsibilities

• Implement Project Planning amp Scheduling strategy plans and procedures reflecting both Company and contractor roles responsibilities and expectations
• Assess review and monitor detailed Primavera P6 schedules including WBS activities relationships constraints and resource loading according to Client Specifications
• Conduct schedule analysis forecasts and performance tracking e g SPI CPI Earned Value
• Integrate various contract packages into master plan schedule
• Review contractor s submitted schedule and make recommendations to client
• Prepare regular internal external weekly and monthly progress report for management and client
• Develop a project control procedure to monitor the progress of project
• Interact with contractor and verify the project data to update project schedule
• Support project management in key decision-making with reliable scheduling insights
• Develop mitigation plans
• Assess any contractor s extension of time claim and prepare defense claim report
• Put forward recommendation report for any contractor s EOT claim
• Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to project schedule
• Ensure that the Financial Periods are set and followed by the Contractor in the Schedule
• Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance change order
• Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak leveling
• Ensure that schedule related from vendors suppliers engineering and construction contractors of projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems
• Working closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.Track record of working on the construction of hyperscale Data Centre projects from inception to completion.Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P3, P5, P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI. Proven experience with resource loading, cost/schedule integration, and baseline managementExperience in coordinating multiple sources of schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project status reports required for large scale projects.Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies and contract terms.Familiarity with international project management standards (PMI).Ability to lead, coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
