Job summary

Vistas Global in Doha seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to manage Oracle databases and ERP-related tools. You will monitor performance, tune queries, apply upgrades, and ensure high availability and security across Linux/Unix systems.

Requires a degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years’ Oracle DBA experience, with hands-on work in RAC, Dataguard, RMAN, Exadata, and Engineered systems; you’ll provide 24x7 support for production environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or technical field.
6+ years of experience as Oracle DBA or similar role.
Experience in Oracle RAC, Dataguard, RMAN, Exadata, OGG and Engineered systems.
Experience in Linux/Unix Operating system.
Database performance tuning and migration techniques.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Install and Upgrade Oracle database and corresponding application tools.
Monitor system health and performance.
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
Provide suggestions for solutions.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after working hours.
