Job summary

NES Fircroft in Qatar is seeking a Senior Metering Engineer to lead the development and integrity assurance of metering systems for expansion and start-up projects. You will provide technical expertise in flow measurement and instrumentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborating with engineering and operations teams, you will integrate metering systems into facility designs, conduct audits, and support vendor evaluations and QA activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in instrumentation or electronics required.
• Minimum 6 years in oil & gas, petrochemical, or related sectors.
• At least 4 years in flow measurement and metering systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement metering plans, specs, and standards for project execution.
• Coordinate installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of metering systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to integrate metering systems into facility designs.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and performance assessments of metering systems for compliance and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical support on metering equipment integrity, vendor evaluations, and QA activities.
• Prepare technical scopes of work, support tender evaluations, budgeting, and contract-related activities.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, vendors, and service providers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participate in risk assessments with emphasis on safety and reliability.
• Monitor industry developments and recommend innovative metering technologies.
