Job summary

UCC Holding in Doha, Qatar seeks a Senior Lead Estimator to drive technical and commercial estimates for large-scale building and infrastructure projects. You will lead the complete tendering process, ensuring timely, high-quality proposals that win business.

Responsibilities cover reviewing drawings, specs, BOQs, and contracts, and coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to develop competitive bid strategies. GCC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (MEP focus).
• 13-15+ years of experience in MEP Estimation & Tendering for major building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical systems.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs, estimation software, value engineering, and cost planning.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures.
• GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP estimation and tendering activities for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical systems.
• Take full ownership of the tendering process from inquiry receipt to final submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and tender documents.
• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, value engineering proposals, and bid pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Manage and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
• Participate in client meetings, tender clarifications, negotiations, and presentations.
• Present tender strategies, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to management.
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, competitive, and compliant with client requirements.
