Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for buildings and infrastructure within the Middle East. You will oversee concept through commissioning, ensuring regulatory compliance and high design quality.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with architects and disciplines, and engage clients to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8–12 years’ experience in mechanical engineering for building services.
• Proven delivery of complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience with UAE authority regulations and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of mechanical systems across project stages.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IPC, NFPA, CIBSE and authority requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, reviews, and mentoring to engineers.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines for integrated design.
• Engage with clients, present solutions, and support value engineering.
