Job summary

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer in Doha to oversee QA/QC of materials for major infrastructure projects. You will manage laboratory and field testing, review submittals, and ensure compliance with international standards.

The role requires extensive experience in sewerage, drainage, and road/highway construction, with leadership over inspectors and close collaboration with construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years post-graduate experience including 5+ years in QA/QC on large infrastructure projects.
• MME (UPDA) Qatar registration required.
• Extensive QA/QC experience for sewerage, drainage, roads/highways.
• Strong knowledge of international QA/QC standards and testing procedures.
• Ability to lead QA/QC teams and interpret contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Review material submittals for compliance with specs and standards.
• Assist construction team with material submissions, approvals, testing, and sampling.
• Oversee laboratory and field testing, material acceptance, and corrective actions.
• Inspect construction materials for sewerage, drainage, roads, and highways.
• Develop and monitor QA/QC plans aligned with international standards.
• Analyze lab reports and implement testing and quality control measures.
• Lead QA/QC team including inspectors and ensure project standards.
• Prepare technical reports on material testing and QC compliance.
• Participate in all project phases from design to close-out focusing on materials.
