Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha is seeking a skilled Machinist for the Central Repair Shop – Machining. The role requires operating conventional lathes, milling, drilling, boring, grinding, and shaping machines to manufacture, repair, and recondition mechanical components according to drawings.

You will read engineering drawings, set up machines, measure with micrometers and calipers, inspect materials, ensure safety, and maintain records.

Qualifications

Technical diploma or ITI in Machining or Tool & Die Making.
Minimum 3 years of machining experience in steel/heavy industry.
Proficient with conventional lathe, milling, drilling, boring and grinding.
Ability to read drawings, tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Capable using precision measuring tools and inspection instruments.
Strong mathematical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Operate conventional lathes, milling, drilling, boring, grinding, and shaping machines.
Manufacture, repair, and recondition components per drawings.
Machine shafts, bushes, sleeves, pins, rollers, and keyways.
Set up tools, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and parameters.
Read and interpret drawings, tolerances, and specs.
Measure with micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, bore gauges.
Inspect raw materials and finished components.
Maintain machine upkeep and housekeeping in workshop.
Maintain machining records and report defects or shortages.
