Job summary

QNB Group is seeking an experienced Lawyer to assist in protecting the bank’s interests across all litigations. The role requires advising across the Group, proactive risk mitigation, and cost-conscious management of external counsel.

The incumbent will develop KPIs for the Litigation unit, liaise with local and international authorities, and contribute to policy reviews and knowledge sharing within the Legal Department. A Bachelor’s degree in Law and 8+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law is required.
• At least 8 years legal experience in the legal profession with 1 year in banking litigation or as a litigator for an international/local firm.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in protecting the Group’s interests in all litigations.
• Provide sound legal advice across the Group on litigations.
• Develop KPIs and monitor litigation unit performance.
• Prepare diary system and ensure key dates are not missed.
• Coordinate with external lawyers to manage cost and outcomes.
• Support training and knowledge transfer within the Legal Department.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
