Job summary

Commercial Bank Qatar is seeking a Legal Manager for Documentation to provide comprehensive legal support across the bank. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of corporate and banking documents, while ensuring risk and regulatory compliance.

Based in Doha and on-site, you will collaborate with stakeholders to safeguard the bank's interests and support strategic objectives. A strong background in banking law and document governance is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Legal degree from a recognised jurisdiction.
• Minimum 6-7 years of legal experience.
• Experience in banking or financial institutions preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and contract review skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory across the Bank including negotiation, drafting and interpretation of contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate finance, real estate finance, M&A and banking documents.
• Maintain filing and documentation systems and prepare reports for the Chief Legal Officer.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory changes to support compliance and governance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, DOA, SOPs and control frameworks; support risk management.
