Job summary

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) in Doha is seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician to identify and resolve hardware and software issues, supporting students, instructors, and staff.

The role requires English fluency; Arabic is preferred. The successful candidate will collaborate with the IT Helpdesk team to maintain reliable services and assist in the implementation of new systems and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve IT hardware and application software issues from Helpdesk tickets.
• Liaise with IT Helpdesk Specialist to understand end-user requests.
• Consult with staff and students to determine hardware, software, or system issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues based on priority and guidance.
• Assist with software installation, backups, and system configurations.
• Support design and implementation of new systems and technologies.
• Prepare reports for cost-benefit analyses of technology enhancements.
