Job summary

GETP Group is seeking an experienced Infrared (IR) Thermography Engineer in Qatar to support condition monitoring of electrical transmission and distribution substations. You will perform IR inspections, analyze thermal data, and report critical findings to ensure reliability and safety in HV networks.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in substation condition monitoring, hands-on IR inspection experience, and a solid understanding of high-voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in condition monitoring of electrical transmission and distribution substations.
• Hands-on experience performing infrared thermographic inspections on high-voltage equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform infrared thermographic inspections on substations.
• Conduct condition monitoring activities per procedures and project requirements.
• Detect thermal anomalies and potential defects in high-voltage equipment.
• Analyse thermographic data to assess equipment condition and recommend actions.
• Prepare reports and documentation.
• Ensure HSE and permit-to-work compliance for HV installations.
• Operate and maintain infrared thermographic equipment.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and multidisciplinary teams.
