Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks an experienced instrumentation professional to lead maintenance strategies for quality instrumentation across petrochemical platforms. The role requires deep fault-finding skills in electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, plus supervision of on-site contractors and rigorous documentation practices.

Responsibilities include calibrating complex systems, ensuring work orders are complete with proper man-hours and materials, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of varied experience in installation, maintenance and fault finding of electronics and pneumatic instruments and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies, procedures and strategies for quality instrumentation maintenance.
• Provide accurate diagnostics of instrumentation loops and optimize manpower and materials.
• Ensure all work orders and checklists include man-hours, materials, dates and codes; update senior engineer daily.
• Monitor on-site DCS/Telemetry contractor activities and enforce permit-to-work procedures.
• Perform complex maintenance including interlock/shutdown equipment, PCB work, calibration and fault analysis of electronics and instrumentation.
• Manage receipt, identification and storage of materials; sign delivery notes and coordinate with the Material Coordinator.
• Review outstanding preventive and corrective maintenance and reduce backlog.
• Maintain records and paperwork related to instrument work, data sheets and cost reporting.
