Job summary

Milaha in Qatar seeks a senior hydrographic data processing leader to oversee MBES data processing, QC, charting and final deliverables for marine survey projects.

You will work with MBES, GNSS/INS data, patch tests, sound velocity and tide corrections, and review third-party deliverables while ensuring compliance with client specifications and HSE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of hydrographic data processing experience.
• Bachelor degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, Surveying or Marine Science required.
• IHO Cat A/B preferred; IMCA familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process MBES and GNSS/INS data using industry software.
• Perform data QC, patch test validation, sound velocity and tide corrections.
• Prepare charts, DTMs, contours and final client deliverables.
• Review third-party survey reports for non-conformities.
• Support offshore acquisition team with troubleshooting and planning.
• Ensure compliance with client specs, procedures and HSE requirements.
• Support offshore teams and survey planning.

About the Role

To lead hydrographic data processing, quality control, charting and final deliverables for marine survey projects including MBES, positioning, tides and bathymetric outputs while supporting in-house projects and reviewing third-party deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Multibeam Echo Sounder, Global Navigation Satellite System, Inertial Navigation System and ancillary survey data using industry software.
• Perform data QC, patch test validation, sound velocity correction, tide correction and uncertainty checks.
• Prepare charts, Digital Terrain Model surfaces, contours and final client deliverables.
• Review third-party survey reports and identify technical non-conformities.
• Support offshore acquisition team with technical troubleshooting and survey planning.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, company procedures and HSE requirements; promote safe systems of work and stop unsafe activities.
• Support offshore acquisition teams and survey planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, Surveying or Marine Science.
• 8+ years hydrographic processing experience.
• Software experience in EIVA, QINSy, Qimera, CARIS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Hypack.
• Strong MBES processing experience.
• IHO Cat A/B preferred, IMCA familiarity.
