Job summary

Milaha in Qatar seeks a senior Marine Geophysicist to lead geophysical data processing, interpretation and reporting for offshore projects including Side Scan Sonar, Sub-Bottom Profiler and seabed hazard assessments. You will oversee routes, debris surveys, and pipeline surveys, review third-party reports, and support tender preparation while ensuring compliance with client specifications and HSE requirements.

Offshore Middle East experience is essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Marine Science or related field.
8+ years marine geophysics experience or equivalent.
Experience in seabed debris surveys and pipeline route surveys.
Offshore Middle East experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Process Side Scan Sonar and Sub-Bottom Profiler datasets.
Interpret seabed features, hazards, debris and shallow geology.
Prepare route assessments, anomaly lists and charts.
Review third-party survey reports and identify technical non-conformities.
Support offshore acquisition team with technical troubleshooting and survey planning.
Ensure compliance with client specifications, company procedures and HSE requirements; promote safe systems of work and stop unsafe activities.
Support tenders, methodology and client meetings.
