Job summary

Siemens Energy in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced on-site Generator Winder to perform complex winding work and support outages. You will lead winding activities, collaborate with testing teams, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in generator winding, strong insulation and brazing knowledge, and the ability to travel for international field service. A technical degree is preferred and continuous improvement is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on generator winding experience (stator/rotor rewinding, rew edging, winding repair).
• Strong technical expertise in generator winding systems, insulation, winding connections, brazing, and repair methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site generator service activities including installation, overhauls, repairs, modifications, and rewind projects.
• Independently execute stator/rotor winding, rewinding, rewedging, repair, refurbishment, and insulation activities with inspections and quality checks.
• Support generator testing, fault investigation, and mechanical assembly/disassembly during outages.
• Diagnose winding-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, document processes, and develop team leadership toward Lead Winder.
