Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Manager in Doha, Qatar, to oversee all fire safety operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead life-safety initiatives across facilities. Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in fire safety management or related safety disciplines.
• Proven expertise in fire safety systems, including suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, building codes and OH&S standards in Qatar and the Middle East.
• Experience conducting fire risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits.
• Proficiency in emergency response planning and incident investigation methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety programs aligned with Qatar regulations and international standards.
• Lead fire and life safety compliance across design, construction, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, project specifications and airport fire safety requirements.
• Review and monitor fire safety systems, evacuation routes, and life safety provisions.
• Coordinate fire safety interfaces with architecture, MEP, and external authorities.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, approvals and closeouts of fire and life safety systems.
• Lead emergency response planning and coordinate drills for readiness.
• Investigate fire incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Prepare and present fire safety reports to senior management and regulators.
