Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead planning and delivery of corporate events. You will manage timelines, budgets, themes, venues, décor, AV, and catering, while coordinating with executives and external partners to ensure peak results.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business with marketing/PR emphasis and at least five years in event planning. Strong English writing, communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphases on Marketing & Public Relation or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in event planning/staging.
• Experience managing and developing various types of events.
• Experience with obtaining events sponsorship.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee event implementation, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee creative and logistical aspects, including themes, venues, décor, entertainment, AV, and catering.
• Design engaging events that meet objectives and budget requirements.
• Manage and negotiate with vendors, event companies, venues, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with senior-level communicators, executives, and third-party service providers.
• Ensure event companies and vendors deliver projects according to scope, quality, and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers and partners.
• Track and manage the annual events budget.
• Lead the events team by prioritizing projects, tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative event ideas.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager to improve departmental efficiency and performance.
• Ensure awareness of security requirements and relevant safeguarding policies.
