Job summary

Al Ali Engineering Co.WLL in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced Environmental Specialist to ensure site compliance with environmental laws and project requirements. You will implement and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to mitigate environmental impacts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering with 5+ years in construction or related fields, knowledge of regulations, and strong reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant environmental experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, MEP, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management, pollution control, and monitoring.
• ISO 14001 knowledge/certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication, reporting, inspection, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with environmental laws, permits, and project requirements.
• Implement and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor air, dust, noise, water, wastewater, soil, and other environmental impacts.
• Manage waste segregation, storage, recycling, and disposal.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, reports, and monitoring data.
• Investigate environmental incidents, spills, complaints, and non-conformities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, laboratories, and waste contractors.
• Conduct environmental awareness training and toolbox talks.
• Support environmental audits, inspections, permits, and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Track environmental KPIs and support sustainability initiatives.
