Job summary

Parsons seeks an Environmental Specialist in Qatar to ensure regulatory compliance across sewerage, surface water, and groundwater projects. You will monitor on-site activities, conduct site assessments, implement management plans, and coordinate with teams to embed sustainability and compliance throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management or environmental compliance.
• Experience on sewerage, surface water, and groundwater network projects or similar infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards in construction.
• Fluent in English, with excellent reporting and liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental performance on-site during sewerage and water network construction.
• Conduct environmental site assessments for excavation, dewatering, and wastewater activities.
• Implement and enforce environmental management plans including waste and water quality management.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with project teams to integrate environmental practices into planning and execution.
• Provide environmental training for workers and document non-compliance issues.
• Prepare environmental documentation and reports for regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain permits and approvals for projects.
