Job summary

A Qatar-based company, AimGulf, is seeking an experienced maintenance specialist for electrical systems across HV/MV/LV transformers, switchgear, cables, MCCs and motors. The role requires hands-on expertise in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical environments and strong safety discipline.

Applicants should have a Technical Diploma in Electrical trade and working-level English. The position is full-time on-site at our Qatar facilities, with focus on electrical maintenance and testing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot HV/MV/LV transformers and switchgear.
• Work on HV/MV/LV cables and terminations.
• Maintain MV/LV MCCs and motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC, VFD and UPS systems.
• Read SLDs, machine sketches, and complex control schematics.
• Follow PTW, LOTO, HSEQ, and plant safety procedures.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot HV/MV/LV transformers and switchgear.
• Work on HV/MV/LV cables and terminations.
• Maintain MV/LV MCCs and motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC, VFD and UPS systems.
• Maintain lighting, cathodic protection systems, hoists, and electrical systems of flares.
• Work with motor and feeder protection relays.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment, control systems, and power circuits.
• Read SLDs, machine sketches, and complex control schematics.
• Use multimeters, Meggers, and related testing/calibration instruments.
• Follow PTW, LOTO, HSEQ, and plant safety procedures.

Experience Required:

• 7+ Years
• Minimum 5 years relevant hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry.

Education Qualifications:

Technical Diploma in Electrical trade (12+3 years).
