Job summary

Petrotec is seeking a qualified engineer to lead testing and commissioning of electrical systems with hands-on HV/LV switchgear exposure up to 33 kV. The role requires deep knowledge of CTs, VTs, protection relays, ACBs/VCBs, VFDs, UPS, and transformers, plus experience in configuring and testing protection relays from multiple vendors.

The candidate should understand MODBUS/RTU, IEC 61850, and other industrial protocols and be capable of executing testing activities independently with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 8 years proven experience in protection systems including design review.
• Strong understanding of HV/LV switchgear up to 33 kV and protection schemes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily FAT/SAT activities, including testing, inspection, and commissioning.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot protection system faults and implement corrective actions.
• Review engineering drawings, relay settings, and technical documents.
• Prepare MOS, FAT/SAT procedures, test forms, and checklists.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
