Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG seeks an experienced Control Systems Engineer to provide in-depth support for DCS, ESD, FGS, and PLC activities, ensuring safety and reliability of offshore installations. You will engage in HAZOP and SIL workshops, review safety and interface documents, and support startup and commissioning.

Key tasks include administering control system access, coordinating with OEMs, and developing maintenance strategies to protect system availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 6 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment technical engineering.
• Experience with control systems such as Foxboro, Emerson, Honeywell, Triconex, CCC, PLCs and applications (AMS, APC, PI).
• Knowledge of IEC, ANSI/ISA and API RP standards and their application.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth control systems engineering support for DCS, ESD, FGS, and PLC activities to meet OES objectives and Company strategy.
• Participate in HAZOP and SIL workshops, design reviews, risk assessments and interlock with engineering documents.
• Support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of offshore control systems.
• Perform control system administration tasks (user access, advisories, OEM case follow-up) to ensure reliability and continuity.
• Develop and monitor control system plans and schedules; supervise contractors and service providers.
