Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar is seeking an experienced Instrument/F&G Engineer to advise and support engineering activities during EPC and startup, ensuring safety, operability, reliability and maintainability across the facility life cycle.

You will provide engineering support for design, SIL/HAZOP, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting, coordinate with contractors, mentors, and support integrity programs while contributing to risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor01s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years01 experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, ESD/F&G, anti-surge, metering, and turbine/compressor control systems.
• Good knowledge of SIL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide Instrument/F&G engineering support for design, SIL/HAZOP, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and cybersecurity of critical Instrument/F&G systems.
• Develop best practices, improvement initiatives, plans, and schedules.
• Provide technical support and coordinate contractors, consultants, and service providers.
• Mentor engineers and support integrity/reliability programs.
• Support project tie-ins, issue resolution, and risk management.
• Support high-risk commissioning, system optimization, and Operations/Maintenance.
